Aggie Park is one of the best outdoor escapes right on Texas A&M’s campus. With more than 20 acres of green space, walking paths, ponds and shaded seating, it’s a great place to unwind after a busy week of classes. Many students visit for casual walks, studying outside, picnics or simply relaxing by the water. It’s especially popular during warmer months when students want fresh air without traveling far.
2. Aggieland Safari

Aggieland Safari is a drive-thru wildlife park and zoo where you can roll down your windows and feed giraffes, zebras, antelope and dozens of other animals right from your car. With a walk-through zoo area, guided tours and exotic species from around the world, it’s a unique way to spend a day outdoors. Even though it’s a little farther from campus than the other spots on this list, it’s well worth the trip for a fun, memorable day with friends.
3. Star Cinema Grill

Located in the Century Square shopping and entertainment district, Star Cinema Grill is a dine-in movie theater where you can catch the latest releases while ordering food and drinks right to your seat. It’s a relaxed way to spend an evening with friends, and its location near campus makes it an easy go-to for a study break or weekend hangout.
4. The Cut Axe Throwing

Distance from campus: 6-minute drive
For something a little more competitive, The Cut Axe Throwing is the only professional axe and knife throwing bar in the Brazos Valley. With coaching for first-timers and lanes you can book with a group, it’s a fun, hands-on activity near Texas A&M that makes for a memorable night out with friends or roommates.
5. Grand Station Entertainment

Distance from campus: 8-minute drive
Grand Station is a large family entertainment center packed with bowling, laser tag, mini golf, an arcade and a sports bar all under one roof. It’s an easy choice when you want a full night of activities in one place, especially for group outings or a rainy day when you’d rather stay indoors.
6. Spirit Ice Arena

Catching an Aggie baseball game at Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park is a College Station tradition. The home of Texas A&M baseball brings big crowds and great energy in the spring, and it’s one of the most fun and affordable ways to enjoy game day right on campus.
